Nomadic childcare

We are working to organize a gated area with supervision provided by volunteer high school students. The vision is to have a video player for movies, toys, games, tents, tunnels, etc.

If you are planning on coming to the festival with kids and are interested in utilizing the “kids club” area please send an e-mail and let me know the following:
1) the ages of your children
2) your phone number
3) what days you plan to attend
4) what you would like to see us have available in our kids club, and/or what you would be willing to donate for the weekend.

Also, if you are a local and are willing to lend items for the weekend that will make the kids club more fun (and safe) please let me know.

Items we could use:
T.V. with VCR or DVD
baby gates
kid appropriate videos
play tents and tunnels
board games
toys

What is a juggling festival?

Many people think of juggling strictly in the context of sequin-vested cruise ship performers whirling shiny clubs about in a display of inhuman dexterity. For others, juggling brings to mind weathered street performers tossing chainsaws and melons alongside practiced punchlines and a hat for donations. But there is another side of juggling that most will never experience, a world of friends and games, workshops and camaraderie, colleagues trading techniques and obscure passing patterns. Never experience, that is, unless they attend that rarest of events, the juggling festival.

Now you have an opportunity to not only look behind the curtains of the juggling world, but to join that community in its purest expression. Rest assured, the title may say “juggling,” but this is an inclusive event - unicycle, contact juggling, diabolo, poi, staff twirling, bullwhips, plate spinning, devil sticks, cigar boxes, yo-yos - all are welcome here. Juggling festivals have a little something for everyone; with workshops in everything from club passing to contact juggling, a puzzle table, and a “construction zone” where beginners can learn the basics anytime. On Saturday evening, enjoy a fabulous public show, chock full of local and not-so-local talent.

So, come and join the juggling community as we spend a weekend together at the Nomadic Juggling Festival.
